Our Commitment to Deer Lake

At the heart of the DLIA is a simple mission: protect and preserve the beauty, health, and vitality of Deer Lake—for today and for generations to come.

We take pride in maintaining exceptional water quality, a major benefit to every property owner. From proactive environmental monitoring to hands-on clean-up efforts, our work keeps Deer Lake clear, vibrant, and thriving.

We also advocate for equitable taxation and fair zoning enforcement, building strong relationships with local officials to ensure our lake community is treated with respect and care.

When the trees around our shoreline were threatened, we acted -spearheading the successful project to bury overhead utility lines, saving thousands of trees and preserving the natural landscape.

Together with the Deer Lake Conservancy, we stopped a proposed cement plant that would have severely impacted water quality. While DLIA focuses on the lake itself, we proudly support the Conservancy’s work protecting the surrounding watershed that feeds it.

🧤 Community in Action:
Every spring, volunteers gather for our Annual Clean Up Deer Lake Day, and each summer we co-host the Flagstad Farm Event—bringing neighbors together in celebration of conservation and community.

Protecting what Makes Deer Lake Special

Maintaining Deer Lake’s exceptional water quality is at the heart of everything we do.

The DLIA works closely with the Deer Lake Conservancy, Polk County, and the Wisconsin DNR to monitor and protect our lake. From tracking runoff and aquatic weeds to detecting invasive species like zebra mussels, we act swiftly to preserve the lake’s health.

Thanks to these efforts, Deer Lake is consistently recognized as one of Wisconsin’s most desirable lakes—a true gem worth protecting.
